Metamortis

As a child, Kogan Locke receives a journal from his mother, a psychiatric patient of Pandora Institute who believes it can predict the future. She also believes faeries live in her walls.  

Then everyone in the building disappears and is never found. Kogan never gets answers.

Twenty-five years later, Kogan is an isolated, risk-averse insurance adjuster who finally has the stability in his life he's always longed for. 

But when a woman is found stumbling out of the abandoned Pandora institute with unexplained injuries, Kogan is sent to inspect the abandoned hospital where he last saw his mother. 

There, his journal begins offering glimpses of his future, and Kogan inadvertently follows its guidance into another world.

Desperate to get home while concealing the disturbing changes the crossing has awakened inside his body, Kogan investigates the building and clashes with Cerberus, a security organization tasked with keeping him and the other missing persons prisoner.
